Meet Patricia

The Heart of Therapy (THT) is therapist owned and operated by Patricia Saenz, M.A., CCC-SLP. Patricia received her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. She has obtained her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). Her experiences include evaluating and treating children in schools, clinics, and home health settings.

Patricia enjoys treating children and working closely with families to enhance the success of every child. Relationships and building rapport are important to a child’s success. Patricia strives to ensure trust, care, and encouragement are established with every child and family. She understands that all children learn differently; therefore, methods of treatment are individualized to meet each child’s specific needs.

When Patricia is not providing services within the community, she is participating in educational opportunities or spending time with her family watching movies, playing games, and enjoying outdoor activities.

Meet Jennifer

Jennifer has worked as a dedicated SLP-Assistant since 2010 after receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders with a minor in Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University.

She has experience working with the pediatric population in a home health setting, and she thrives on collaborating with her patients and their families to ensure optimal growth. Jennifer believes that every child deserves to find their form of communication and faithfully works to obtain that goal.

She loves spending time and making memories with her family and enjoys reading, writing, and crafting.
