Our Mission
The Heart of Therapy is a dedicated pediatric speech therapy private practice in San Antonio, Texas located in the Stone Oak area. Speech Language Pathologists create and follow a plan of care tailored to fit each child’s needs. Skilled, individualized, and personable evaluative and treatment services are important to create a positive experience for all involved. Care, trust, encouragement, and focusing on a child’s strengths are at the heart of what THT strives to achieve.
The goal of THT is to not only help children in need but also their families. A key component to a child’s success is creating consistency and a supportive environment. By working closely with families, children will refine current skills, develop new skills, and ultimately make progress on their goals to improve functional and effective communication.
Speech Therapy
Speech therapy is evaluative and treatment services for those who exhibit difficulties with speech and language. THT serves the pediatric population who are in need or suspected to need intervention. Communication difficulties may include:

Articulation/phonology (producing sounds)

Receptive language (comprehension)

Expressive language (using language/verbal output)

Fluency (stuttering)

Pragmatics (social communication/play skills)
In-Person Services
Speech therapy will be provided in-person. Telehealth sessions may be considered; however, it must be deemed appropriate given the child’s age, attention level, and ability to participate.
